Introduction to Hajj 2024
The Ministry of Religion and Interfaith Harmony is shocked by how few people are applying to support someone to go on Hajj in 2024, with the deadline fast approaching. There are more worries because only 2,800 applications have been received, leaving 22,200 places open in the government’s plan to bring in foreign currency.
To get affairs back on track, the Department of Information is looking for support from a number of sources, such as Pakistanis living beyond Pakistan and the Ministry of Information. The plan to offer 25,000 seats by way of funding, as well as a special way for people who pay in dollars to avoid the voting process, has not lived up to promises.
Even though the limit for applications was pushed back by 10 days to December 22, not many people have applied. The Ministry has started a program to teach Pakistanis living outside of Pakistan about the application procedure.

Out of the 58,000 applications that were sent in under the standard plan, the Ministry is still focusing on getting Pakistanis living outside of Pakistan to join the national reserves by highlighting the unique chance to do so and perform a holy duty at the same time.

Some changes in Hajj’s journey
Also, the government created progress by providing both long-term and short-term involvement for the journey, each lasting 38 to 42 days and 20 to 25 days. It appears that the Hajj trip will cost Rs 1,075,000, which is a significant decrease from last year’s cost of Rs 12,000,000.
